I started writing concert reviews in local newspapers in 1974. Quickly I realized that I would get more money for my lines, if I joined a photo to it. I started developping and enlarging the photos in my mother's kitchen after returning home from the gigs! The next morning my review and the photos went off by mail (those were the days...) to the editor.
In 1983 I joined a local radio station as head of music and presenter. That was my 'oral phase'... no more writing, no more photos, but still head deep in music.
Only with the advent of digital photography and a temporary end of my 'radio activities' I rediscovered the pleasure of observing musicians at work.
